These red velvet brownies are so easy to make and turn out so fudgy and buttery with the right amount of chocolate!
– Fudgy and soft texture – Quick, easy, no electric mixer – Lots of red velvet flavour – Packed with milk and semisweet chocolate chips!
Make sure to whisk the butter, sugar, and eggs until light and thick. This takes about 30 seconds by hand and makes the prettiest crackle tops.
what you will need:
– butter, melted – brown sugar – sea salt – eggs – vanilla extract – vinegar – red gel food colouring – all purpose flour – cocoa powder – baking soda – semisweet chocolate chips – milk chocolate chips – sea salt flakes
1.
Whisk together melted butter, sugar, and eggs until thick and lightened in colour.
2.
Add food colouring, vinegar, and vanilla extract and whisk until fully incorporated.
3.
Sift dry ingredients right into the same bowl. Fold with a spatula until almost fully incorporated.
4.
Add chocolate chips and fold until fully incorporated. I used a mix of milk and semisweet chocolate chips for lots of flavour.
5.
Dump out the batter into a parchment lined baking pan and smooth it out.
6.
Top with more chocolate chips and bake until the edges are set and the middle is still underdone. This will give you a fudgy texture.
7.
Top with more chocolate, flaky salt, slice when room temperature, and enjoy!
